I’m truly pleased to introduce an award-winning guest whose work is reshaping how the world sees African fashion, Jacqueline Shaw.
We met via the Faith Driven Entrepreneur Network, and I just reached out and connected. We explored the waiting season, faith, and dealing with rejection.
Jacqueline is a fashion designer, author, speaker, board member, and leading voice in ethical sourcing and sustainable business. She has worked in China, Turkey, Germany, UK and USA and collaborated with global brands such as Puma, C&A, and Fila, and is the founder of Africa Fashion Guide, a pioneering platform that connects designers, manufacturers, and sustainable opportunities across Africa’s fashion ecosystem.
She is also the author of Fashion Africa and Fashion CANNOT Be Made in Africa, and has shared her insights on some of the world’s most respected stages, including FIT in New York, WOW Festival, Africa Utopia at London Southbank, the House of Lords, SOAS, Ghana Fashion Week, and Africa Fashion Week Toronto, among many others.
Beyond her impressive achievements, Jacqueline is driven by a clear mission: to champion economic empowerment through fashion and to help build a more connected, sustainable global industry.
A very warm welcome to Jacqueline Shaw.
